Learning Objects
Just as a follow-up to my (rather rushed) presentation on Reusable Learning Objects (RLOs) at the School meeting last Friday, here is the link to locate and download the main software (FREE -- I still can't get over it), MS Producer. The same webpage has links to tutorials as well. The other software, Wink, the one that makes little Shockwave Flash videos about how to use online resources (used in the animated tutorials on the Library page and on Learning Space), can be downloaded free here
There is a discussion about the background to and use of Learning Objects in a special edition of the journal Open Learning 20(1) Feb 2005, which we have in the Library.
There is a set of downloadable RLOs produced by Cambridge University (including some on medicine and health and research methods) here. They are now into GLOs as well!
