Multi-choice questions

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

After presenting a session at Staff Development, getting some feedback, and emailing Laura Mattin at the LTSN Hospitality etc for advice, I submitted a short article for LINK on using multi-choice questions (MCQ) in Leisure Studies. The article was published in LINK 14 last month -- copies are around the place or you can download it here. Any comments are very welcome.

I use MCQ on LATH02, and we are also using them on SPDC01 this year. There are lots of juicy design and measurement issues involved, and plenty of opportunities to do some action research. S Mcguggan at Liverpool University is currently developing some 'creative' possibilities.

I would like to hear from anyone who has used them or is thinking of using them in the future.
